Introduced from a virus free clone and has been phenomenally popular as this is similar to the tubers on supermarket shelves. Tubers tend to be smaller than T65 but have that distinctive salmon orange flesh with a sweeter more pronounced flavour.
Culinary uses similar as potatoes - boiled, steamed, baked, fried, mashed or batter fried as 'tempura'. The leaves and tips of young shoots can be cooked as a spinach substitute.
Important - We supply 'slips' (cuttings) which are despatched by First Class post in our special boxes and must be opened immediately. 'Slips' will look withered but just place in a glass of water overnight and then pot up individually the length of the stem to the base of the leaves (use our Sweet Potato Potting On Kit) for up to 3 weeks to establish prior to planting out.
Full cultural details sent with every order.

This was a limited trial offer in 2007, from virus free clones, to make a vigorous, healthy plant. Flesh is more deep orange colour of excellent flavour. Early maturing and good cropper, reliable all over the UK.
Demand has increased year on year over the past 3 years as gardeners find that growing a successful crop of sweet potatoes is rewarding and satisfying. Although considered a tropical plant it performs well in our climate, outdoors ideally through black plastic or in large containers under glass.

Cream skinned and fleshed tubers with a rich flavour. The plant habit differs to our other varieties in being more compact and bushy and the tubers develop as a cluster beneath the plant for easier lifting.

T65 has reddish skin colour but a creamy white flesh. Still the most reliable and vigorous variety producing good sized tubers.
